Overview

Origin UI is an extensive collection of copy-and-paste components designed to streamline UI development by providing customizable components, consistent styling, regular updates, and dark mode support. It is compatible with Next.js projects and any React-based projects following shadcn conventions.

Installation

1. Set up the required files:
   • Copy all .tsx files from Origin UI’s registry/default/ui folder to your project’s components/ui folder.
   • Copy utils.ts from Origin UI’s registry/default/lib folder to your project’s lib folder.
2. Add CSS Variables:
   • Include the required CSS variables in your project’s stylesheet.
3. Tailwind Configuration:
   • Add the CSS variables to the extend section of your Tailwind config file.
4. Using Components:
   • After setup, components can be copied and used in your project, with some requiring additional libraries (e.g., number inputs, date pickers).
