Overview:

Tonic🍸 Digital Collections Framework is a tool that transforms a collection into a beautiful website. It parses a collection, defined in a YAML or JSON file, and automatically generates a customizable static website. This website allows users to explore the collection in a smart way, with a lot of filtering and sorting options. Tonic is built with Middleman, Ralix, and Tailwind.

Installation:

To install Tonic, follow these steps:

1. Clone or fork the Tonic repository (or use the GitHub template button).
2. Navigate to the cloned/forked repository folder using the command line.
3. Run the following command to start the development server:

bundle exec middleman server

4. Alternatively, you can compile the site into the build/ folder using the following command:

bundle exec middleman build
